Reflection:

1. What feels “bigger” than you right now? What have been the “hills” that have intimidated you over your life?

2. Where have you turned to for help over the years? Why does the answer the Psalm gives in verse 2 require humility?

Follow Up in the Word through the Week…

Monday:

Read: Matthew 17:14-20

According to the disciples, where did they think the power to cast out the demon came from? How can anxiety continue to build when we find that we are insufficient?

Tuesday:

Read: 1 Thessalonians 5:9-11

What are we destined for? What is the task that we have before us as a part of the church?

Wednesday:

Read: Genesis 1:1-5 and John 1:1-5

What is mirrored in John’s gospel with what is written in Genesis 1? How does knowing that God created help you to face insurmountable things in your life?

Thursday:

Read: Acts 17:24-28

How do we exist according to Paul? How does that reality help you to continue to hope in Him?

Friday:

Read: Jude 1:24

As Jude pronounces this benediction over his readers, how do these words help you today to recognize that God is sustaining you?

Saturday:

Read: 1 Peter 5:7

God cares for you and for your anxieties today.
