Acts 1:1-11

All of Jesus for All the World

1. The Reason for the questions (having an agenda and wanting God to bless it)

A. You will be baptized with the Spirit/ the promised one (vs. 4,5)

B. How is 6 the answer to (vs. 4,5)

Mark 10:28-31

- If Jesus could defeat death, then He could beat the Romans out of the country and Israel would take the place of the Romans on the world’s stage.

C. You won’t know the time for such things

What we do too often with God: We get our agenda ready and ask him for the timetable to fulfill our agenda.

All of that time we are thinking too small! ------

2. Here’s What you Need right now (v. 8)

A. Power from the Holy Spirit

Ephesians 5:18-19

B. All Encompassing witness

-Jerusalem, Judea, Samaria, the World

C. The Ascension (vs. 9,10)

They were caught looking.

3. Their action should be our action (vs. 12-14)

A. Obedience (vs. 12,13)

1. Have you accepted Jesus as your Savior? Are you filled with His Spirit?

2. What is the part of the world the Spirit is sending you to? How are you fulfilling His mission? Have you spent time in prayer and are there people that you know who need Jesus?
