C. Do Not Reject This Grace

2. No Obstacles (vs. 3-10)

A. Obstacles As we enter into this list that Paul said, “we didn’t let any of these things get in the way.” What has been in your way? Either in your way of accepting the salvation the grace of God in Jesus Christ or in sharing Jesus. What in our lives gets in the way? What pit have we laid that gets in the way of the grace of God?

B. The Team’s Attitude

Philippians 1:15-18

1 Corinthians 4:1-5

C. Endurance in Hardship (vs. 4, 5)

Romans 5:3-5

D. Endurance in Godliness (vs. 6, 7)

2 Corinthians 11:6

Romans 13:12

Ephesians 6:10-13

E. Opposite Conditions (vs. 8-10)

Acts 20:33-35

3. Speaking Freely (vs. 11-13)

A. More than Free Speech

B. Our Heart is Wide Open

C. No Restriction

D. Love in the Wrong Place

E. Widen Your Hearts

Reflection:

1. Are there obstacles that keep you from accepting Christ’s free gift of salvation? Are their obstacles that keep you from sharing it?

2. How has Christ widened your heart to accept Him and to desire others to know Him?

Follow Up in the Word through the Week…

Monday: Read: 2 Corinthians 5:20-21

How does Paul’s description of being an “ambassador” help you to understand how he sees himself and his team as coworkers with Christ in 2 Corinthians 6:1?

Tuesday: Read: 1 Corinthians 15:10-11

From what Paul says in these verses, what was the overall effect of grace on him and on others? Has grace spread from you to the others around you?

Wednesday: Read Isaiah 49

How was Isaiah the prophet’s experience of spreading the Word like Paul’s in 2 Corinthians 6? How can that help you to understand hardships in trying to help others understand God’s grace?

Thursday: Read: Philippians 1:15-18

Even though some were “proclaiming Christ out of selfish ambition” does that give anyone today or ever permission to do that? When have you seen this as you follow Jesus?

Friday: Read 1 Corinthians 4:1-5

What was Paul’s greater fear, human rejection or being rejected by God?

Saturday: Read: Acts 20:33-35

What is Paul’s point in telling this to his listeners? What was his direction in what working can produce for himself and others?
