The Perfect Storm

D. Recognizing the power of the LORD
2. Looking for Answers (vs.11-15)
A. How do we make it stop? (v.11)
B. “Hurl me in!” (v.12)
Rather than take up our commitment to the LORD we will walk the plank.
C. They did not want the blood of Jonah on their hands (vs.13-14)
D. The solution, finally (v.15)
3. A Proper Sense of Fear (v.16)
A. They put “Fear of the Lord” to action
B. Sacrifices and vows
1. So where are you today? Closer to Jonah, ready to walk the plank? Or closer to the sailors, making vows and offering sacrifices to the One True God?
2. Are you willing to risk truly living again to be obedient to the living God in this storm that we are all living through right now?
